"The Good Ole' Days" is a painting that is about the Future and about Nostalgia for the past, both at the same time. The robots in the diner are all celebrities from film and other media, who gather at the same diner to reminisce about the days when they were more famous and beloved by all. In this sense it is a depiction of time and popular culture as an ongoing flow in which even our brightest and happiest futures will eventually become a warm, sappy glow in our rear-view mirrors.
