Art Journal as a painting project... "Don't try to be deep, just be honest".

Landscapes, portraits, pet paintings... simple subject matter. Not for sale. Just for my own meditation/development of skills.

Can show all sides... My mistakes and issues, like poor strategy, etc and also big picture, things in society that challenge artists in trying to make a living. 

Also I can just work on a whole series about people trying to find the "dream job" and dealing with reality, disappointment, disillusionment, corporate culture-- all that stuff might make good subject matter.

The family's experience, the Yellow Cab lawsuit and the destruction of Yellow Cab and how that affected my dad's life. 

Robin Hood, King Arthur, Wizard of Oz, etc. Portfolio Project. Be sure not to focus exclusively on children's projects unless I want my career to go that way.

Illustrations of Holidays. Can be straightforward, or can be twisted ( a la "Nightmare before Christmas" film.

Evil or Good... Monsters behind pretty masks and Regular People behind Monster Masks.

There's a book with this title, about the Fed. A painting about the unusual and secretive establishment of the Fed might fit nicely into my currency paintings series.
